Premium Member Quarterly Optimization Checklist

Time required: 30 mins per quarter

Your HTR Premium Membership works best when someone on your team occasionally checks in to make sure your account is optimized, we recommend once a quarter doing a quick check.

This checklist is what we'd look at if we were sitting in your dashboard ourselves. Run it self-service, or book a free coaching call and we'll walk it with you — whichever is more useful.

1) PROFILES — How do your profiles look? (5 mins)

Review your profiles and make sure they reflect what you sell today.

  • Have you launched any new products, modules or capabilities that aren't listed yet?

  • Is the messaging, imagery and featured-client content still current?

  • Are your integrations and screenshots up to date?

Buyers compare profiles side by side. An outdated one quietly costs you shortlist spots.

2) RANKINGS — Are there areas to optimize your reputation? (15 mins)

Open your reputation report card in your dashboard.

  • Confirm your rankings haven't slipped in any category.

  • Work the actionable tips it surfaces — they map directly to visibility and lead volume.

  • Check your review recency. Consistent new reviews matter more than a large old pile.

3) LEADS — How are your nurture sequences performing? (10 mins)

Monitor engagement on your automated nurture sequences and run a test each quarter to improve reply rates and demo conversion.

  • Which sequences are underperforming on opens and replies?

  • Is your follow-up speed where it should be? See lead follow-up best practices.

  • Test one variable at a time — subject line, first-touch timing, or CTA.

4) PPC — Are your campaigns spending efficiently? (10 mins)

Review your PPC campaigns for the quarter.

  • Budget pacing: are campaigns running out mid-month or leaving budget unspent? See budget pacing.

  • Bids: has your CPC moved? Auction dynamics shift as competitors enter and exit.

  • Landing pages: traffic converts on the page, not the ad. Check your conversion-optimized landing page.

  • Testing: if results were unclear last quarter, set up a proper PPC test rather than guessing.

5) POSTING — Has your team been posting consistently? (5 mins)

Depending on the posting credits included in your plan, a regular cadence keeps you visible year round. Put calendar reminders on your team's calendar so it doesn't slip.

Recommended quarterly cadence:

  • Q1: 2x press releases + 1x case study

  • Q2: 1x press release + 1x hosted report

  • Q3: 2x press releases + 1x hosted report

  • Q4: 1x press release + 1x guest post

6) WHAT'S NEXT — Upcoming opportunities (5 mins)

A quick look ahead so nothing gets missed:

  • HotelTechAwards. Registration opens August 1, and the awards period kicks off September 1 — that's when participants get the live leaderboard and coaching notifications. Awards overview

  • Full-service campaigns. If your team is stretched, HTR Content Studio produces and runs campaigns for you — eblasts, sponsored articles, retargeting, video, podcast and newsletter sponsorships. Most premium plans include credit toward these.

  • Seasonal timing. Some placements sell out by quarter. If something is on your roadmap for next quarter, flag it now.

  • Planning ahead? The 2026 Media Kit has every campaign option, pricing and audience segmentation in one place.
