All leads that HTR generates have have been fully qualified, verified and vetted prior to them reaching your vendor dashboard. This article walks through the qualification process that each lead has to pass through to ensure that they are a valid hotelier, they are who they say they are and have verified their contact info.

1. Qualification
Pre-qualified nature of site traffic: Hotel tech isn't a fun hobby and we don't offer click bait content. All users on hotel tech report are hoteliers researching technology
Qualification details: HTR captures and presents all details including job title, hotel type, size, location and purchase journey insights are offered for all leads so vendors can decide if the lead looks like a good fit for their business before accepting the introduction
Category level intent: All leads have explicitly stated category level interest (shown here)
2. Double Opt-in
Each lead has explicitly opted to be contacted by vendors via one of the two lead flows (Direct Price Quote/Demo Request or Matched Quiz Lead) by navigating to their category of interest, pressing one of the request info buttons and filling in 10+ form fields. Not only that but they also have to also click a request confirmation link sent to their email to confirm that they intended to place their request as well as verify their contact info.

3. Contact Info Verification
The same way leads only appear in your Lead Inbox once HTR's SDR team has reviewed, verified and enriched the leads details, leads don't even appear in our internal moderation inbox until the lead has clicked the request confirmation verification link to verify their contact info. This process and workflow ensures that all leads sent to your inbox have to have verified their contact info.

4. Vetting & Diligence
Once a lead has been qualified and they have verified their request and email address, they still will not appear in your vendor dashboard.
The reason for this is that just because somebody inputs a valid email doesn't mean that they are who they say they are which is why we have a 3rd and final step in the process where HTR has an SDR moderation team that reviews each and every lead 1-by-1 multiple times a day to ensure that (a) they are a valid hotelier and (b) they are who they say they are.
Our moderators verify that they are a hotelier: After leads have placed their request and verified their contact info, ALL leads are manually screened by Hotel Tech Report and have been verified as a current employee at the hotel company in which they stated that they work at when they placed the request.
Our moderators verify that they are who they say they are: Just because someone fills in a form with a valid email doesn't mean that they are who they say they are. By having a manual SDR screening process for each lead, our team ensures that each lead is who they say they are prior to approving the lead and sending it to your inbox
Our moderators verify their details: SDRs do research on each lead to try to find information on hotel websites, Linkedin and other 3rd party sources to verify that the leads details are correct as well as enrich the lead with any additional info that can be found
5. π Lead is approved and sent to your dashboard
While these processes ultimately add additional operational costs and reduce the quantity of leads due to increased number of qualification steps, we have implemented a rigorous process to ensure that all leads are qualified, verified and vetted prior to them being sent to your Lead Inbox in the dashboard to ensure the highest quality leads.
Once a lead has been qualified, verified and vetted, then (and only then) is the lead approved by the HTR moderation team at which point you will receive the new lead notification and it will appear in your dashboard to accept or reject.
