Scoring Methodology and FAQs for the Annual People's Choice Awards

The People's Choice Awards are an overall competition across categories in the annual HotelTechAwards that serve to honor and recognize companies who have balanced strong growth with a relentless focus on customer centricity. Hotel Tech Report recognizes the top 10 most customer centric global companies via the annual Hotelier's Choice Awards.

Eligibility Criteria

The top 10 companies that meet the minimum eligibility criteria and who have the most reviews will be recognized via press release at the end of the awards period and the #1 company will be awarded the highest honor in the annual awards, The Company of the Year.

Awards registration

Must be registered in the HotelTechAwards

Reviews

Must have at least 50 verified client reviews

Likelihood to Recommend Rating

Must have a minimum of a 80% average likelihood to recommend rating on their most popular product

Support Rating

Must have a minimum of a 4-star average customer support rating on their most popular product

Implementation Rating

Must have a minimum of a 4-star average implementation rating on their most popular product

Global Reach

Must have 5 or more reviews from at least 3 countries

Scoring

In order to be considered for this award your company must meet the minimum eligibility criteria above. Rankings are determined based on a weighted average of the number of reviews (aka customer advocates) over two durations (1) current year awards period review count and (2) Cumulative/all time review count.

Process & Logistics

  • Eligibility. All companies entered in the HotelTechAwards across all categories are eligible to win the Hotelier's Choice Awards or Company of the Year

  • Analysis. At the end of the awards period (Dec 15), all data is exported from the platform and companies who meet the minimum eligibility criteria (see above) are ranked by review count on their most reviewed/popular product
