Integrations and Partner Ecosystem: How It Works

Why integrations matter

Every integration you list puts your company in front of a new audience: your partner's customers.

When you add an integration with another vendor, you show up in their integration marketplace on Hotel Tech Report. A hotelier researching that partner sees you as a compatible option. Twenty integrations means twenty more places buyers can find you.

Integrations also feed your ranking. Each verified integration adds to your HT Score, and integrations with well-known, well-reviewed partners add the most (see below).

How to use the Partner Ecosystem tab

The tab has two sections: Integrations and Partner Recommendations. Integrations are listed once for your whole company, not per product.

Add integrations

  1. Go to Partner Ecosystem → Integrations and click Add integration.

  2. Search for your partners and select as many as you like. Each partner's reputation is shown so you can see who carries the most weight.

  3. Click Add partners. Partners you've already added show as "Added."

Get each integration verified

An integration only counts once both companies confirm it. Every integration shows one of three statuses:

Status

What it means

What to do

Unverified (red)

A partner listed an integration with you

Click Verify to confirm it

Awaiting partner (amber)

You listed it; your partner hasn't confirmed yet

Click Remind to nudge them

Verified (green)

Both sides confirmed

Nothing. Click Edit to update details

When you verify or edit, you can map the integration to the partner's specific products and add a note on why you recommend them.

Collect partner recommendations

  1. Go to Partner Ecosystem → Partner Recommendations and click Request recommendation.

  2. Send the request to a contact at a partner company. Ask them to use their work email so the recommendation is credited to their company.

  3. Older recommendations lose value over time. Use Request update on stale ones to refresh them.

Your partner reputation score

Partner reputation is a 0–100% score that shows how valuable a company is as a partner. Your partners see your score next to your name in their dashboards, and you see theirs.

It's calculated from one thing: verified hotelier reviews.

  1. We count your company's hotel reviews from the last 3 years, across all your products. Reviews older than 3 years don't count.

  2. Newer reviews count more. A review from last month is worth more than one from two years ago.

  3. We compare you to the top company. The most-reviewed company in the ecosystem sets the 100% mark, and everyone is scored against it on a curve, so strong companies still score high even if they're not #1.

  4. Everyone gets at least 5%.

The recommendations you receive don't affect your own partner reputation. Only hotelier reviews do.

You can hover over any reputation bar to see the exact percentage and the company's review count. Because recent reviews weigh more, a company with fewer but fresher reviews can outscore one with more older reviews.

How it affects your ranking

Quality beats quantity: an integration or recommendation is worth as much as the partner behind it.

Your verified integrations and partner recommendations both add to your HT Score, which drives your category ranking. But they aren't counted one-for-one. Each one is weighted by the partner's reputation:

  • A recommendation from a partner at 95% adds far more than one from a partner at 5%.

  • Ten integrations with unknown partners can be worth less than two with category leaders.

  • Recommendations fade over time, so fresh ones keep your score up.

This cuts both ways. The stronger your own reputation, the more you're worth to your partners, because your integrations and recommendations lift their scores. Vendors with strong reputations become the partners everyone wants, which brings more integrations, more marketplace placements and more recommendations back to them.

The simplest way to raise your partner reputation is to collect more verified hotelier reviews, and keep collecting them so your reviews stay recent.

FAQ

Why does a partner with fewer reviews have a higher score than one with more? Recent reviews count more than older ones. Fewer, fresher reviews can outweigh more, older reviews.

Do unverified integrations count? No. Only integrations confirmed by both companies count toward your score.

Does it matter which email my partner uses to recommend me? Yes. A work email lets us match the recommendation to their company and credit it at their reputation. Recommendations we can't match still count, but at the minimum value.

Can I set integrations per product? Integrations are listed at the company level. You can map each one to specific partner products when you verify or edit it.
