Category winners and finalists are determined based on the products that have the highest HT Score at the end of the awards period when data is frozen and extracted from the platform on December 15th. Below are more details about the various rankings signals that the HT Score algorithm analyzes.

While customer reviews are the most heavily weighted variable in the HT Score algorithm, the combination of each of the other variables has a significant high impact on scoring especially in close races where multiple products have met the category average number of reviews and have high average ratings.
